2010: year of 4G mobile WiMax internet

Lithuania was the first country in the whole EU as well as one of the first in the world to launch the 4G Mobile WiMAX Internet back in 2009, in collaboration with Samsung.

By the end of 2010 already 60 % of the population in 54 locations across the country got access to use mobile WiMAX Internet service Mezon. It is planned that by 2012 4G Internet Mezon will be available to users in almost all of Lithuania.
