Discover You. In Lithuania

I’m a strong believer in the need to be surrounded by beauty if you want to bring beauty in your creative work. After seeing many places, this is the one with the right pace and vibe.

Founder & Managing Director at Charlie Oscar

Only a short flight from all major European cities, Lithuania sits quite literally at the heart of Europe.  Its capital, Vilnius, has been quoted alongside Copenhagen and Barcelona by the New York Times as a hip and well managed place to live, and the 2015 Mercer Cost of Living Index ranked the city as one of 5 least expensive in the EU. With its plentitude of green parks and pure air, and its relaxed, yet energizing vibe, Vilnius offers the perfect location for both you and your business to thrive and grow. Lithuania is so much more than its capital though; its second city Kaunas is home to a bustling international airport, and the city’s thriving cultural scene is best exemplified by the renowned international jazz festival it hosts each year in the autumn. While Klaipeda, the country’s port city, offers ferry access to Scandinavia and Lithuania’s premier tourist attraction, Nida and the Curonian Spit.

Outside its cities and towns, Lithuania’s greatest asset is its nature. This is a country of fresh, verdant pine forest and calm, clear lakes, where escape to the countryside is never more than 30 minutes from your door.

Benefits for you and your family:

  • Easy access to Europe: Lithuania’s international airports in Vilnius and Kaunas offer regular flights to all major European destinations, with flight-times of only 2-3 hours for most routes.
  • Cost of living: According to the Mercer Cost of Living Index 2015, Vilnius is one of the five least expensive EU cities for expatriates to live in.
  • Lifestyle: Vilnius is ranked by the New York Times alongside Copenhagen, Barcelona and Cape Town as a hip and well managed place to live.  All of Lithuania’s three largest cities offer a variety of large scale international cultural events throughout the year, and country’s theatrical heritage is celebrated across the world.
  • Healthcare: The country has a world-class health infrastructure with the largest amount of physicians per capita in the CEE, many of who are multi-lingual and have had experience of working abroad. Lithuania also has a fully developed and extremely cost competitive private health care system which covers everything from general practice to specialized surgical procedures.
  • Education: The World Economic Forum in 2016 listed Lithuania as the 3rd best provider of mathematics and science education within the CEE, and 6 schools in Lithuania currently offer the world accredited International Baccalaureate program. All of Lithuania’s major cities offer secondary education at International schools, and the country has universities in five of its largest cities.
  • Community: We have a fast growing expat community, which has increased fivefold since 2010 / EMN, 2014
