Based on January 2012 data released by the EU statistics agency Eurostat, statutory minimum wages in Lithuania as well as two other Baltic countries, Latvia and Estonia, were among the lowest in the whole EU.

Lithuania Again Leads Fiber Penetration in Europe
Lithuania continues leading in deploying next-generation fiber-optic Internet access (FTTH) technologies at the fastest rate in Europe. With 28% market penetration recorded in 2011, Lithuania is ahead of other European countries for the third year in a row and is also sixth on the global ranking list for the second time running, according to the recently released FTTH Council's "FTTH Ranking".
