Political Stability&Economic Freedom on the Lithuanian Market
On January 12, the findings of the survey Freedom in the World released by Freedom House, an independent non-governmental organization that supports the expansion of freedom in the world, showed that Lithuania is included in the list of politically and economically freest countries of the world.

Lithuanian Investments Abroad Jumped 37% and Exports Leaped 31%
Statistics Lithuania informs that based on provisional data as of 1 October 2008 Lithuanian enterprises’ direct investments abroad made EUR 1.4 billion, i.e. by 37.6% more than on 1 January 2008 (EUR 1 billion), and in January–November 2008 against January–November 2007 Lithuanian exports (EUR 15 billion) and imports (EUR 19.5 billion) increased by 31.3% and 19.3% respectively.

Vilnius is City No. 1 to Visit in 2009
