Record Cargo Turnover in Klaipėda Seaport
The cargo handling capacity of the Klaipėda seaport is larger than that of neighbouring ports. In 2007, the ice-free Klaipėda State Seaport handled its biggest amount of containers ever – 27.35 million tons (compared with 2006, grew by 16%).

FDI in Lithuania in 3 quarters of 2007 grew by 18%
According to the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, FDI in Lithuania amounted to EUR 9.92 billion as of 1 October 2007 and, compared with 1 January 2007, grew by 18.4%. FDI per capita was EUR 2,943.
